All designers and developers love apps, tools and services that help to make there work flow easier. That is why Adobe AIR has proven, maybe not as mainstream popular as it would have liked, to be an indispensable framework for building small and useful applications. Who has not got a Twitter client that has not be been built with AIR? Not many. That is what AIR seems to be excelling in, Twitter clients and useful web design, developer and graphic designer apps. That is the focus of todays article.
About six months we published a popular post called 28 Adobe AIR Apps for Designers and Developers, this post is an extension of that article. So, in total this article has 47 useful apps and widgets for designers.

Boks – A Visual Grid Editor
Boks is an AIR application that provides a User Interface for Blueprint CSS's framework. It has been designed for those who think the Grid System is good but never really took the time to embrace it. It can handle grid configuration, baseline rhythm, CSS (with or without compression) and grid.png export, HTML layout and much, much more.

Browserpacker – Enhance your layout with browserframes
This useful app captures web screenshots from the following browsers: Firefox 2 and 3, Safari, IE 7 and 8 and Google Chrome. You can save the screenshot in .png or .jpg.
You can capture a screenshot directly or you can enter the URL. Useful tool.
ADM – AIR Application Descriptor Manager
ADM is an AIR application descriptor file manager. It's a tool aimed at AIR application developers who want better control over their applications' descriptor XML file by providing them with a nice GUI to edit the properties and icons of their little child.

OBO Site GatherAIR
This AIR application can take a SWF file that you drag onto it and then after choosing an HTML template it will convert all of the files out into a directory you specify complete with all the SWFObject code and SWFFit code if you choose to select it. It ships with three standard compliant templates ("Basic", "Fullscreen with SWFFIT" and "Flash Centered in HTML"), you can also create your own template by following the instructions here: Create your own template.

Doc? is a free desktop Application, that allows you to view your Flash documentation outside of Flash. This enables you to view, search and bookmark your documentation a lot faster than you could with the built in Flash support.
Debug.a.li.cious
Once you have installed the Debug.a.li.cious Console, download the DebugaliciousDumper.swc and call either of the 5 static debug level methods of your choice: debug(), info(), warn(), error() or fatal().
Or you can call log() and pass along one of the 6 static constants of the DebugaliciousDumper class: ALL, DEBUG, INFO, WARN, ERROR or FATAL.

Caldera – Batch image resize and rename
With Caldera you can resize, rename and recompile your images in a batch. Just drag and drop your images to the app and it starts working. You can resize your images by scale or specify a maximum width or height to fit in the images, rename your images automatically (prefix plus number) and select a new folder to save and then save your your images as JPG, PNG, GIF.
Livebrush and the Livebrush Project
Livebrush is a drawing application that employs an easy-to-use brush tool, that combines simple motion controls with styles and decorations. Import graphics or elegantly swing the brush around with your cursor. Livebrush is certainly not the most powerful graphic editor, but it is one that you will have the most fun with.

TiltShift Generator
By adjusting various parameters, the TiltShift Generator, allows you to apply many effects on your pictures: from miniature pictures to vintage styles images and recreate that popular photography style called tilt-shifting.
ImageSizer
ImageSizer is an application built to resize, optimize and rename a batch of jpg images, outputting them as a single compressed zip file – perfect if you want to e-mail a load of images off your digital camera, or a folder of images – just drag, drop, fiddle with settings and press 'Compress your images'.
Once the files are processed, you can simply drag and drop again to export all of your images as a compressed zip archive or a folder on your hard drive.

Adobe Developer Connection Developer Desktop
The Adobe Developer Connection Developer Desktop (ADC Desktop) is an Adobe AIR application that delivers a number of helpful resources for Developers. You can easily track and receive desktop notifications to changes in bugs you are tracking from the public Adobe bugbase. Additionally, you can explore and track aggregated Flex components on your desktop, or you can use the integrated RSS reader to view news and feeds, and get updates as they happen. Finally, you can locate Adobe user groups and current events via the user group and events map.
