Awesome 80 Impressive Pier Photography Showcase 2013

Pier photography is called as such because the subject being taken in a photograph are needless to say, piers. Extending from a beach or coastline to the deeper part of the water, a pier creates a dramatic isometric line that produces an illusion of touching the horizon at its far end. By its appearance, a pier can give an opportunity to photographers to play with lines in their composition. Further, with the body of water occupying a large portion of a pier photograph, the shooter can test his skills in long exposure and HDR (High Dynamic Range) among others. Bodies of water especially a sea, with its foaming waves can look dramatic with its dreamy, mist like appearance. This can be achieved by exposing the image sensor of the camera to the light longer than usual (long exposure).
